Today (October 8) the winners of the 2019 Nobel Prize in Physics were announced! Swiss Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz along with Canadian-American James Peebles are the Nobel Prize winners of this year. The merit of Swiss scientists is their discovery of an exoplanet orbiting a Sun-like star. The work of James Peebles, begun in the 1960s and brings the pillars of modern cosmology. The prize of 9 million kronor (around 900.000 USD) will be distributed among the 3 scientists; James Peeble will get half of the prize while Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz (whose work was done together) will share the other half.
